Michael Green Architecture’s The Catalyst Building in Spokane’s University District is one of the largest buildings in North America to pursue both Zero Energy and Zero Carbon certifications by the International Living Future Institute. A mid-rise commercial space, it’s also the first office building in Washington State constructed out of cross-laminated timber.

This building of firsts is flawlessly executed with beautiful simplicity with three standout finishes: timber, matte black and glass. CRL helped The Catalyst combine aesthetics with function with selections in glass railing and door rail systems for the entry.

The CRL GRS TAPER-LOC Glass Railing System and CRL All-glass Entrances with DRS Wedge-Lock Door Rail System welcome visitors into the sustainable building with impressive oversized door frames that lend to the building’s modern aesthetic.
