A premium all-glass look and superior thermal attributes are unique to Blumcraft® Entice Series Doors from CRL. This highly desirable combination of design and performance is an absolute necessity for architects specifying glass facades capable of meeting current energy-efficiency codes.

For many years, the National Fenestration Rating Council (NFRC) energy-efficiency codes did not include exterior doors in the energy ratings of commercial buildings. That all changed in 2018 when new U-factor requirements were applied to exterior glass doors.

Fortunately, CRL anticipated that stricter energy codes would eventually be applied to exterior doors, directly leading to the development of Entice Series Doors. With Entice, CRL provides a new, attractive option to architects: a glass door with a minimal frame that meets energy code requirements. The groundbreaking system features ultra-narrow 1-1/8" vertical stiles that produce clean glass spans and striking, monolithic glass visuals that accentuate glass facades.

Entice doors incorporate a thermally broken frame and 1" insulating glass that, together, deliver U-factors as low as 0.43, meeting or exceeding stringent energy requirements:

  • Complies with California Title 24 Thermal Requirements
  • NFRC Rated and Meets ASHRAE 90.1-2019 Air Infiltration Requirements
  • Compatible with Low-E Glass and Bird Safety Glass
  • Passes AAMA 1304 Forced Entry Test

An added benefit of the Entice Series Entrance System is its ability to support Blumcraft® tubular panic devices and other types of door-handle hardware directly on 1” dual-glazed insulated glass using precision-engineered, through-glass fittings. This creates a "floating-on-air" aesthetic that enhances the Entice system’s streamlined design. UL emergency exit tests demonstrate Entice doors are capable of handling emergency exit hardware loads.

Entice doors can be specified up to 10 feet high, making them ideal for creating monumental entrances. A Clear Fin system is available, featuring a low-profile 14" depth alongside narrow 1-5/8" wide mounts, accentuating the all-glass look.
